Ronald Araujo played his first game in 13 months for Uruguay on Thursday. The Barcelona defender played all 90 minutes in Colombia's 2-2 draw and saved the day for his national team on multiple occasions.
At some point during the game, Colombia's Luis Diaz went one-on-one with the Uruguayan goalkeeper, but he didn't stand a chance against the resilient center-back, who stopped the Liverpool winger with a monster tackle.
Culers couldn't help but praise Ronald for this episode:
🗣FCuevas: "Absolute beast"
🗣TriggerFCB: "There is no better defender in 1v1 than Araujo right now, he has physical power that is far superior to the rest"
🗣Reino: "The best center back in the world and no one comes close. Even Mbappe wouldn't stand a chance against him."
🗣 beastAraujo: "Art of defending."
🗣 UruguayFooty: "Hang this in the Louvre"
