Beckham reveals Messi's piece of advice for academy kids – it's classic Leo

In a show called Stick To Football, David Beckham has told a hilarious story about Leo Messi meeting Inter Miami's academy kids.

"The other day, there was a funny interview from one of the [Inter Miami] academy kids, who was doing really well. They asked him: 'What's the best piece of advice has he [Messi] given you so far?' And he said: 'To walk more. He told me to walk more in the game, because you see more.'"

Running around the pitch is overrated, according to the modern Leo! It's something he rarely does nowadays.

Instead of running and wasting his physical energy at 36, the Argentine mostly takes his time to analyse the situation on the pitch and make wonders once the ball comes to his feet. Pep Guardiola once explained that this is how Messi 'scans' the opposition and spots their weaknesses.

Many fans still blame Messi for his 'lazy' style of play. They believe he doesn't contribute much at defending and pressing his opponents, forcing his teammates to work harder than usual.
