In what is easily the craziest rumour of the day, Sport's Miguel Sanz claims Barcelona are interested in signing Wilfred Ndidi in 2024.
According to the source, Barca have previously tried to sign Ndidi in the past but were priced away when Leicester City quoted €70m for the midfielder who currently plays in the England Championship (second division).
The contract of the 26-year-old ends in the summer and it is said that Barca senses the opportunity to sign the powerful defensive midfielder for free next summer. Others like Juventus and Bayern Munich have also indicated an interest.
Although we can only take this rumour with a pinch of salt, it is true that Barca have been signing loads of players as free agents since Joan Laporta became Barca president in 2021. This summer, Barca signed two players as free agents and another two on loan.
