Barca receive concrete offer for Clement Lenglet, but there's a bottleneck (reliability: 4 stars)

Barcelona have received a concrete offer from Sevilla for Clement Lenglet, per Jose Espina of Diario AS.

Lenglet is said to be excited to return to Sevilla, a club he left five years ago in search of greener pastures at Barcelona.

Both Barca and Sevilla are currently locked in direct talks to complete the transfer which is expected to be a straight one-year loan deal.

However, the only bottleneck is Lenglet's high salary. The Frenchman currently earns €16m per year gross at Barca.

Sevilla have had to sell players this summer due to their financial struggles. It means Lenglet would have to accept a monumental pay cut for the deal to happen.

The Frenchman was recently left out of Barca's squad for their trip to Villarreal despite being registered in La Liga.
