Marcos Alonso firmly believes Barcelona wants him to leave the club this summer, according to Javi Miguel of Diario AS.
There are three reasons why Alonso thinks this way.
1. Barca have not registered him in La Liga. After two games into the new season, Barca are yet to submit Alonso's name to La Liga due to their FFP restrictions.
2. His wages. Alonso believes Barca are open to sifting him due to his wage. The defender earns more than €6m per season gross, and the club are working on reducing their wage bill.
3. Inigo Martinez signing. The arrival of a left-sided defender who plays exactly the same position as Alonso means his playing time will be immensely limited this season.
According to other reports, Alonso is already looking for a new team in the Premier League with interest in Saudi Arabia filtering in.
