It is impossible for Joao Felix to stay at Atletico Madrid beyond this summer, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The Portuguese has been left out of the team's squad for their upcoming La Liga clash. Although Diego Simeone says that the reason is his muscle injury, everyone seems to understand what's actually going on.
Joao only waits for Barcelona to make the move, Romano notes.
Barca reportedly have advanced in the negotiations to sign Joao Felix on loan. However, he is not the priority transfer target and there is no guarantee that the deal will be completed.
The forward has recently expressed his desire to play for Barca. The Portuguese is said to be fed up with his current club and their fans most of whom want him out.
Last season, Joao Felix scored 4 goals in 20 appearances for Chelsea on loan. Overall, the attacker has netted 34 goals and provided 18 assists in 131 appearances for Atletico Madrid.
