Barca intensify talks for new right-back, player agent spotted at Barca offices – not Cancelo

Barcelona are intensifying talks for their right-back target Ivan Fresneda.

On Wednesday, the player's agent Raul Verdu spent hours locked in talks with Barcelona at the club offices in Catalonia.

Barca considers Fresneda an ideal right-back for the present and the future after the 18-year-old played 22 La Liga games last season and barely put a foot wrong in those matches.

The Blaugrana are also interested in signing Joao Cancelo on loan from Manchester City but his potential arrival is not expected to affect Barca's pursuit of Fresneda.

Valladolid values Fresneda at €15m but Barca have been negotiating to pay less for the Spanish defender.
