Athletico Paranaense CEO reacts to Barca's idea of registering Vitor Roque this summer

Earlier, it was reported that Barcelona would like to register Vitor Roque in 

 already this summer. However, the initial agreement states that he will only join Blaugrana in January 2024.

The 2024 Copa Libertadores carries some particular importance to Athletico Paranaense as they will celebrate their 100th anniversary.

Barca signed Vitor Roque for €30m this summer. The forward has scored 16 goals and provided 8 assists in 36 appearances for Athletico Paranaense this season.

Barcelona 'activates process' to register Vitor Roque

The outcome of the game would've alerted Barcelona to the possibility of bringing Roque to the club this summer.

If what the president said was included in their agreement with barca then it's binding on all parties and should be respected. Any deviation may require financial compensation or something else and it may even affect our relationship in the long run

Barca are not going against it and that is the deal that was made. Barca was clear that they will try to negotiate for Roque to come now. If his club wont talk to Barca and let him go now he will come in January as previously agreed when Barca bought him.
