Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang arrived at Barca in January of 2022 and became an instant hit. The Gabonese scored four goals in his first four games and finished his Barca career with 13 goals in 24 games.
However, Barca sold him for financial reasons in the summer of 2022 to Chelsea and he flopped in London managing just three goals in 21 games across an entire season.
“Compared to Chelsea, there was a big difference in the way I was welcomed by the club, the staff and the players at Barca," Aubameyang explained from his new club Olympique Marseille.
"I showed things in training. In fact, I clocked the fastest speed in training which was 36.5km/h, but things never went well," Auba added.
Aubameyang claims he was affected by the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, the Chelsea manager who bet on him and brought him from Barca. Tuchel was sacked two weeks after Auba's arrival at the club.
Auba seems to have found some joy now he's back in France with Marseille.
