Sergi Roberto makes first gesture as Barcelona captain

Newly-minted Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto has taken to Instagram to apologise to fans for the team not being able to honour the Juventus game.

Reposting Barcelona's official statement, he added: "My apologies to all the fans who were going to attend today's game at Levi's stadium."

This nice gesture shows that the 31-year-old is taking the responsibility of representing the club off the pitch.

Sergio Busquets was Barcelona's previous skipper. Following his exit, Sergi Roberto inherited the armband after the players' vote.
