Barcelona clash v Juventus cancelled

“FC Barcelona hereby informs that the game against Juventus FC, scheduled for today, July 22 at 7:30 PM at Levi’s Stadium, as part of the Soccer Champions Tour, has been canceled.

"A significant part of the Blaugrana squad has viral gastroenteritis,” the official statement from the club reads.

Training had been going on over the past couple of days in the US and all seemed set for the match to take place in a few hours.

However, it appears that several players within the squad have been hit by a stomach bug which has prompted the La Liga champions to cancel the friendly.

Barca's next fixture (v Arsenal) is scheduled for July 27 and the club’s medical staff will be working hard to ensure that the problem is settled by then.
