'Beautiful to watch': De Jong names two Luka Modric qualities he admires

Ahead of the UEFA Nations League semi-final between the Netherlands and Croatia, Frenkie de Jong was asked about his thoughts on Luka Modric.

He replied: “Modric is an incredible player. He is already a legend of football even though he is still playing. A beautiful player to watch. He won the Ballon d'Or. It's his style, his technique, beautiful player.”

Even though Modric is a Real Madrid player, De Jong appears to really appreciate his qualities and what he has done throughout his career – which includes winning a Ballon d’Or.

However, Frenkie will aim to silence the Croatian midfielder in the Nations League clash on Wednesday and help his side move onto the final.
