Barcelona have entered into an all-out war with Real Madrid after being offended by their reaction to the Enrique Negreira scandal.
Joan Laporta slammed Madrid’s involvement in it and called them a ‘regime club’, forcing a nasty response from Los Blancos.
Amid all this, some fans have been speculating if it could involve Barca leaving the Super League project.
Well, as per Gerard Romero, the Blaugrana will have to pay a whopping fine of €200m if they do so.
Josep Bartomeu signed that deal and Barca are in no place to afford that punishment, so they’re unlikely to leave the Super League.
Laporta also confirmed the same in his press conference on Monday, saying: “No, we’re in the Super League because it is the best option for a sustainable model in football. We do not depend on Madrid or Juventus.”
