Barca 'fear' UEFA may ban them from Champions League next season

After UEFA announced their investigation into Barcelona over the Negreira case, the club's "fear" is that they will be banned from the Champions League for one year, Cadena COPE report. It was said earlier that their intention was indeed to sanction the club.

At the same time, Barca are not worried about the prosecution in Spain as they are convinced there was no wrongdoing. However, Diario Sport claim that UEFA can ban the Catalans even if the charges against the club are dropped.

As per the latest updates, the Prosecutor's Office was yet to find any criminal offences related to the Negreira case. If UEFA does sanction Barca, it will certainly be in retaliation to the club's involvement in the European Super League project.
