Official: Koeman replaces Van Gaal as the Netherlands' manager

Ronald Koeman has officially succeeded Louis van Gaal as the Netherlands' head coach.

Van Gaal confirmed that the Argentina defeat in the World Cup quarterfinals was his last match.

Koeman has come back to the national team for the first time since 2020. The 59-year-old has been without a job since leaving Barcelona in October 2021.

With the Netherlands, Koeman qualified for the Euro 2020 group stage and the Nations League final.
