Read all i said again. I were really clear. What you dont get is that hes not a leader on the pitch wich was the actual point back then. Two different kinds of leadership. Messi leads by motivating players off the pitch while others lead by directing the team on the pitch during games.

Its usless to even try to get you to understand what a leader on the pitch meens🤣 Read my fist post again and think about what i said. Just because he can win games for the team dont meen hes a leader on the pitch. It just meens ha have the skills to do so. Two completley different things.

The facts are clear , we won  plenty when he  was Captain  , don’t see Busquets  as a starter never mind a  Captain , he doesn’t inspire me !

Ter Stegen is Fine.... but Pique Alba Busi if they could lead on the pitch.... why did Anfield happen?? they were the main reasons behind..... Alba has a leading mentality?? how is that possible when even after having a lead he was crying in dressing room at half time.... How can a leader be like this?? Pique Alba And Busi all have weak mentality....

Messi leads on the pitch also but in a different way. Effective leadership is not just about barking orders on the pitch for camera to see. And like you rightly said, there are others like Pique who do the barking of orders...

Its a great speach from him to really give the team motivation and confidence before the game.Messi always been great at giving motivation to the team and noone can deny that. What he do lack is that in game leadership where he directs the team. So it all depends how you look at it. Anyone that watched Barca when Messi was Captain they clearly see that the players that direct the team during the games mainly were Ter Stegen, Pique, Alba and Busquets. Im not saying Messi isnt a leader at all just that he mainly lead the team outside of the pitch by motivating the team while others take the lead on the pitch in games by directing the team.
As i see it its more like they share the responsibility to lead the team between several players rather than just having all the responsibility on one player. It also gives better overall leadership since you have the directing from several players that see things from different views and talk to eachother to find the best solutions. Thats a big reson why you often see Messi mainly discussing with Busquets, Pique and Alba.
For anyone trying to bash me for it all i have to say is that different players lead the team in different ways and its not always the captain that is the most vocal leader during games.
