Ernesto Valverde set to return to coaching but it depends on one thing

. However, it depends on Ricardo Barkala and Jon Uriate winning the presidential elections at the club this Friday.

If the opposition wins the elections, though, 

Valverde already coached Athletic on two occasions, between 2003-2005 and 2013-2017.

The coach has been without a job since leaving 

 in 2020. At Camp Nou, Valverde won four titles including two league titles.

The 57-year-old, however, says that he didn't think twice about accepting Barca's offer when his former club came calling.

"I didn't think twice about it. It was a good opportunity and an experience that I couldn't turn down," Valverde added.

"My departure? Well, I left and that's it..."

Valverde has been out of work since leaving Camp Nou last year and now appears to be ready to return to management.

"I guess so, but it would need to be something stimulating, something motivating," he concluded.

"After leaving Barca, I needed some time away from football. I wanted to travel a bit, but that hasn't been possible with the pandemic. I'm not sure what I'm going to do next."

I regretted valverd sacked....since valverd left Barcelona....the ordinary la liga we can't win....even to qualify has been a problem to Barcelona.....
champions league is very far for Barcelona.... valverd I missed you

fools....foolish people does not appreciate good things untill they lose it 
some one that beat Madrid mesillessly and won two la liga in his few years of  services
somebody that was unbeaten for how many games you compared him keoman that can not kill a fly......
valverd did well....
valverd is amongst the world class Coaches....he was not fortunate like Guardiola in terms of champions league
I wish him the best......
