Ansu Fati reveals why he cried ahead of Barca debut

"The day of my debut with the first team I was very nervous," Ansu Fati told Barcelona's club media.

"That week I couldn't eat or sleep, seeing that you are fulfilling your dream...

"I remember when I was called to train for the first time, I called my father, but he didn't pick up. Then I called my mother and started crying.

"I will always be grateful to Ernesto Valverde for the opportunity he gave me."

Fati made his first-team debut on August 25, 2019, appearing as a substitute in a 5-2 win against Betis.

He became the second-youngest player to ever feature for the Catalans, making his debut at the age of 16 years and 298 days.
