Haaland breaks silence on his future, comments on €175m price tag

In his recent interview, Erling Haaland opened up on his future amid rumours about his possible departure from Borussia Dortmund.

"Prior to yesterday, I hadn't spoken to my agent for a whole month. There's your answer. I hope that they [reports of a €175 million price tag] are just rumours because it's too much money for one player," the striker said, as quoted by Diario Sport.

"Firstly, I have three years left on my contract. I'm enjoying my time here. Of course, the trophy [last season's German cup] was important because I want to win silverware."

According to previous rumours, Haaland was Joan Laporta's big goal for the 2021 summer transfer window. Due to the bad finances at Barcelona, it is almost impossible for them to afford Erling now, though.

However, the Catalans might stand a chance next summer, when the Norwegian's €75m release clause will reportedly come into effect.
