People at the club open to Alba sale as Jordi refuses pay cut (reliability: 4 stars)

Some people within Barcelona would be open to parting ways with Jordi Alba this summer, RAC1's Gerard Romero reports.

It appears that the left-back doesn't want to accept the pay cut offered by the club.

The Catalans are looking to trim their wage bill, and Alba is one of the best-paid players in the squad.

The 32-year-old is earning a staggering €12m+ per year at Camp Nou. His contract with Blaugrana runs until 2024.

When asked about his future, however, Alba said that his intention was to stay at Barca for life. Jordi was a key player for the Catalans last term, playing 49 games and recording five goals and 15 assists.
