Barca set Moriba price tag, Premier League clubs interested (reliability: 4 stars)

Barcelona will look to sell Ilaix Moriba this summer if they don't manage to reach an agreement with his representatives over an extension, the reliable Diario AS journalist Javi Miguel reports.

The Catalans would be ready to part ways with the 18-year-old for around €30m, it's claimed. Various Premier League clubs are said to be paying close attention to Moriba's situation at Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Barca's priority remains to extend Ilaix's contract. However, his new agents are proving to be tough negotiators. They insist on a pay rise despite Moriba already being one of the best-paid youngsters at La Masia.

The Catalans have decided to freeze the midfielder out until his situation is resolved. He hasn't been called up to do the pre-season with the seniors despite making 18 appearances for the first team last term.

Moriba was also left out of Barca B's squad for their first pre-season friendly, and the club have reportedly communicated to the youngster that he might have to go down to the U19 side if he stays without renewing his deal.
