- Neymar limped off the pitch after suffering a thigh injury in Paris Saint-Germain's 1-0 win over Caen in the French Cup on Wednesday.
- The Brazilian was replaced by Kylian Mbappe in the 60th minute of the encounter, 10 minutes after assisting Moise Kean's winner.
- "It's hard to know now, we'll see [Thursday] with the doctor, for the moment it's hard to say," PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino said after the match. Can he be there [at Barcelona] next week? I need more information. Is he affected in the adductors? Yes."
- According to L'Equipe journalist David Aiello, the 29-year-old has only a 'faint hope' of facing Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 round at Camp Nou on Tuesday, February 16.
- "The exams will be carried out tonight or tomorrow morning but the entourage of PSG is pessimistic to go against Barca. Nevertheless, at this hour a faint hope remains," Aiello tweeted after the game.
