3. Taking Southampton and Everton to the Europa League
Ronald Koeman took over Southampton in 2014 and helped his team finish in the seventh place in the Premier League, their best result in history, while also qualifying for Europa League play-offs, also the first time in their history.
The next season, the Saints took one step further, finishing in the sixth place and qualifying directly to the EL group stage.
In 2016, the Dutchman was appointed as Everton's new manager and took the Toffees to a seventh-place finish, once again qualifying for European football. His first season was a definite success, considering that the team finished in 11th place the season before.
2. Three Eredivisie titles
The 57-year-old is the first coach in history to work for the Dutch 'big three' — Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord. Ronald served as Ajax's coach between 2001 and 2005 and won them the league title in the 2001/02 and 2003/04 seasons.
In 2006, the tactician took over PSV and led them to the title in his debut season at the Boeren. Under his guidance, PSV also reached the Champions League quarter-finals after eliminating Arsenal in the previous round. Unfortunately, they were then beaten by eventual finalists Liverpool.
1. Bringing the Netherlands back to glory
The Netherlands failed to qualify for both the 2016 Euros and the 2018 World Cup and the national side needed radical changes. It was Koeman who came to the rescue.
Ronald had his team qualify for the 2020 Euros after winning six of the qualifying matches, drawing one and losing one.
The Blaugrana legend also took the Clockwork Orange to the 2018/19 Nations League final after beating both Germany and world champions France in the group stage. Unfortunately, the Netherlands lost the final to Portugal.
Besides, he gave the international debuts to players like Frenkie de Jong, Seven Bergwijn, Donyell Malen and Denzel Dumfries.
