'Neuer is world-class, Ter Stegen is on his way to world-class': Bayern boss Rummenigge

"The [German] national team can consider itself lucky to have two such goalkeepers. Both are top goalkeepers. Manuel Neuer is world-class, Marc-Andre ter Stegen is on his way to world-class," TZ Muenchen quote Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge saying.

The two shot-stoppers compete for the starting spot at the national side. For now, Neuer remains the main option between the sticks for Joachim Low's team.

So far, Ter Stegen has recorded only 24 matches for Germany after debuting for them in 2012.

This season, Neuer has conceded 47 goals in 48 matches and has kept 20 clean sheets. Meanwhile, Marc has recorded 17 clean sheets while conceding 42 goals in 45 matches.

The Catalans face Bayern in the Champions League quarter-finals on Friday, August 14.
