Italian source Tuttomercatoweb reveal that Juventus made different proposals to Barcelona for Arthur. For example, they offered Mattia de Sciglio as part of the deal.
However, Barca declined this offer and opted for an extra €10million in cash plus Miralem Pjanic.
De Sciglio was linked with a Camp Nou switch for already a month. He was expected to replace Nelson Semedo at the right-back as the Portugal international has been linked with a summer exit.
The 27-year-old is a versatile player who is capable of playing as a right-back, left-back and even right-sided midfielder.
The defender has made 13 appearances for Juve across all competitions so far this season.
Since the Serie A return last week, De Sciglio has only registered 66 minutes against Bologna out of a total of four games. He is currently out with an injury.
