Mauricio Pochettino has appreciated the message of support from Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly and appears to be more confident ahead of the season review that will decide his future.
"It’s always important to have the backing of the owners, they are the bosses, and of course because it’s best for the club. It’s best for the players, the club and for the fans," said Pochettino.
"We know very well that coaches are always judged on results, and in a very short period. But yes, it’s important to feel that backing."
After the end of the season, Pochettino will sit down with Chelsea's sporting directors and co-owner Behdad Eghbali to discuss whether he will remain the head coach for the next season.
It's understood that he has broad support in the club hierarchy after turning the team's form around in 2024: the Blues have lost just once in the last 14 Premier League games.
