Todd Boehly has been speaking on the quality of the Premier League and why one of his big-money signings failed to make it at the club.
“There’s no better league in the world than the Premier League," Boehly said in his Spotico interview.
"A good example I have is from Koulibaly," the billionaire continued.
"Koulibaly came over from Serie A and he told me one time, he said, 'In Serie A, I get to think and then run. But in the Premier League, I get to run while I think and I'm still adjusting to that.'"
Koulibaly ended up being a flop at Chelsea and the club decided to ship him to Saudi Arabia barely one year after signing him in 2022 for a staggering €40m.
Chelsea are in the market for a striker and Napoli's Victor Osimhen who also plays in Serie A.
Boehly probably hints that Osimhen may struggle to adjust in the Premier League despite excelling in Italy where he has scored 76 goals in 131 games.
