Some high-ranking members of the Chelsea leadership want Mauricio Pochettino sacked at the end of the season, Graeme Bailey reports.
But Pochettino insists on coaching Chelsea next season. The Argentine manager has told the Chelsea owners he's the best coach to train this group of players and guide Chelsea back to its glory days.
Pochettino has overseen a turnaround in fortunes for Chelsea — the Blues have lost just one of their last 10 Premier League games, climbing to seventh on the table with a strong possibility of qualifying for Europe next season.
It's been a rocky season at Chelsea but the Blues reach two Cup finals under Pochettino and could qualify for the Europa League. All that makes a strong case for Poch although he remains uncertain of his future.
