'When we fire we're a match for any team': Madueke talks Chelsea 'process'

Chelsea drew 2-2 with Aston Villa on Saturday. There were plenty of positives for the Blues to take home from the game, despite the frustration over having what would have been a winning goal ruled out on VAR.

"Should it have been three points? Yes. Do I think the goal should have stood? Yes. Nothing else to say about the situation," Noni Madueke told the BBC after the Villa draw.

"We need to play better at times in phases of the game. We have an abundance of quality and when we fire we're a match for any team. The last game was terrible.

"For 70 minutes today the team were outstanding. It's a process. I'm proud of the team today.

"We beat them here earlier in the season as well. We wanted to come here and win but it wasn't to be."

Chelsea remain 9th in the Premier League table, five points behind the seventh place — but with a game in hand.
