Morgan Rogers says Palmer 'copied his celebration' — and he's not lying

Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers scored against Chelsea in a 2-2 draw and hit a 'cold' celebration which has become Cole Palmer's trademark move this season.

Speaking after the game, the Villa midfielder told the BBC: "He definitely copied me. It's my celebration. Check the timeline, I did it first.

"He's one of my closest friends in life. I couldn't be more proud of him. He's showing everyone what I knew he could do two or three years ago."

It turns out that Rogers is true — Palmer said that he made that celebration as a reference to his friend.

"My boy Morgs did one for Middlesbrough, so I told him I’d do it too if I scored," Cole explained back in December after hitting the celebration for the first time against Luton.
