'Groin': Pochettino shares Thiago Silva injury update

Thiago Silva was forced to go off late in the second half in Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

"We need to assess him and see," Mauricio Pochettino said after the game, as quoted by Chelsea's official website.

"It's a pain in his groin, I think it is similar to his injury at Crystal Palace."

The Brazilian suffered an injury against Palace back in February. It kept him sidelined for three games, including the League Cup final against Liverpool.

After recovering from the injury, the veteran centre-back didn't play for a month as he only appeared on the bench.

Chelsea have only five games left to play this season. Thiago Silva is expected to leave the club on contract expiry in June.
