'Didn't learn to play with his teammates': Mudryk slammed after Villa draw

The 2-2 draw against Aston Villa was overall a positive performance from Chelsea. However, one drawback was Misha Mudryk having a poor outing again.

The Ukraine international made only 38 touches, losing the ball 12 times. He had two successful dribbles out of five attempts and won only three of his eight duels. He made two shot attempts, none on goal, with one in particular going horribly wrong.

Speaking on ESPN, former Chelsea defender Frank Lebouef said: “Now we have to talk about Mudryk as well. Where was he?

“You give time to a young player to adapt, especially when you come from a country at war, so psychologically, it’s difficult. But it has been a while now. It works for his country because he is scoring goals for his country.

“It doesn’t work with Chelsea. He goes fast, but he seems to lose it. He seems to have no clue how football can be played together with all his teammates. He has a feeling, subconsciously, he has something. Maybe a gift?

“But it’s like he never learned to play with his teammates.”
