Where Nico Jackson ranks among strikers in Europe for big chance conversion

The numbers are out and they're a huge indictment on Nicolas Jackson. According to data revealed by ESPN, the Chelsea striker ranks 25th among 26 forwards based on big chance conversion in Europe.

Jackson has managed to convert 32% of his big chances this season. Compared to other strikers in Europe’s top 5 leagues who have attempted 30 or more shots in all competitions this season, Jackson is only better than Liverpool's Darwin Nunez who boasts a 20% conversion rate.

Jackson missed three huge chances in Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Man City in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday. Scoring at least one of those would've at least taken the tie to extra time.

The Senegalese striker has scored 13 goals this season in all competition but as he confessed in March he should've scored plenty more if not for his woeful conversion rate.

"I have missed a lot of chances. I should have more goals, but for me, it is just the beginning and I'm just starting to feel pleased in England. I keep moving forward," Jackson said.
