What's wrong with using weak foot? Breaking down Nico Jackson's big missed chance

Chelsea have probably had better chances than Man City in the first half of the FA Cup semi-final — and the biggest of all fell to Nicolas Jackson.

The striker ran through on goal after a brilliant pass from Enzo Fernandez. Stefan Ortega ran out towards him, while John Stones blocked a potential path to the right...

... so Jackson made the right call and rounded the goalkeeper down the left side. Shoot!

But he decided against taking a shot with his weaker left foot. Instead, he wasted some precious moments trying to shift the ball to his stronger foot — and all the shooting lanes were already blocked.

The chance ended in nothing, as Jackson's cutback to Cole Palmer was too weak and intercepted by Nathan Ake.
