Chelsea's potential XI in 2024/25 with no new signings but with injured players back in

Let's imagine the perfect world in which a new season begins and there are NO injured players at Chelsea...

Here is what the Blues' best eleven could look like if they make no big signings this summer.

Petrovic; James, Fofana, Colwill, Gusto; Caicedo, Enzo; Madueke, Palmer, Nkunku; Jackson.

Defence. Reece James would go back into the starting eleven while Malo Gusto could play on the left, even though it's not his natural position. There are other options here, however – with Gusto on the right and Levi Colwill on the left, for example. Here we put Colwill alongside Wesley Fofana in the centre.

Midfield. The two best midfielders on the team. Hopefully they discover their prime form next season.

Attacking midfield. While Noni Madueke could be replaced with Raheem Sterling, the presence of Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku would be obvious here. Nkunku usually plays close to the left wing, so this position would suit him well.

Striker. Nicolas Jackson. The best option unless Nkunku is played as a striker.
