Chelsea forward 'emerging as one of main targets' for Saudi Arabia — not Sterling

Romelu Lukaku won't stay at Roma beyond the current season as Chelsea are working on selling him to Saudi Arabia in the summer.

Journalist Rudy Galetti tweeted: "Romelu Lukaku is emerging among the main targets of the Saudi League.

"The PIF [Saudi Arabia's investment fund] already approached the Belgium striker and also Chelsea, which want to sell Romelu - now on loan at ASRoma - permanently. To date, a move to Saudi Arabia appears to be a very likely scenario."

The Belgian has scored 18 goals and provided four assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for Roma so far this season.

It was previously reported that Chelsea have a gentlemen's agreement with Lukaku to sell him for £37m in the summer.

Lukaku refuses to rule out Chelsea return in summer of 2024
