'Interesting way to say you're selling Gallagher': Chelsea fan has worrying theory after Gilchrist update

Alfie Gilchrist signed a new deal with Chelsea earlier today, especially considering there has not been a lot of good news at the club lately.

The Telegraph's Matt Law reports that the Blues hope that the news of Gilchrist getting a new contract would improve the mood among the Chelsea faithful.

Many fans are worried after the news emerged that Chelsea might have to sell the club's academy graduates to balance the books.

A Blues fan nicknamed Pys suggests that it means that Conor Gallagher will be sold in the summer. "That's an interesting way to say you are selling Gallagher," he tweeted.
