Has Newcastle win affected Chelsea position in Premier League table?

The victory means that Chelsea are on 39 points after 27 games played. They remain in 11th place, as they were before the game.

Ahead of them in tenth place are Newcastle, who have a game in hand. Had the Blues lost or drawn the game, they would have gotten further from the tenth place.

Most importantly, Chelsea are now closer to sixth place which guarantees Europa Conference League qualification. Eight points now separate the Blues and the sixth-placed Man United, with the Red Devils also having a game in hand.
