'Yes, maybe': Poch on whether too many youngsters a problem for Chelsea

Chelsea have the youngest squad in the Premier League. In the previous league game against Brentford, the Blues started only five players aged 24 or more; the rest were younger.

Mauricio Pochettino was asked whether having too many players in the squad is a problem for the Blues.

"Maybe, yes," the Chelsea head coach replied, as relayed by the Metro.

"People that want to believe in this, okay. It’s the opinion. Look, I was explaining from the beginning of the season what was going on here, trying to be transparent. I’m not going to try and convince people and justify the result."

Poch insists that he has faith in the Chelsea project.

"I really believe we can succeed," he added said. "We got to a [League Cup] final, the first trophy, we were there and we fully deserved after 90 minutes to win the game.

"If we fully believe we can win games, then I think we can be close to be in the position to get into Europe. Football is about belief."
