Chelsea have started their initial planning for the upcoming summer transfer window after the end of the 2023/24 season.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the Blues’ primary transfer priority is the signing of a new centre-forward in the summer window.
This comes even after Nicolas Jackson scored his 11th goal of the 23/24 campaign in the draw against Brentford. However, the Senegalese forward’s inconsistency is a reason why the Blues might want a more reliable forward.
Moreover, Romano has also dismissed Chelsea’s links to being potentially interested in signing Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville – who has scored 16 goals for them this season.
While a number of Premier League sides are monitoring the Dutch forward, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are yet to show genuine interest in him.
Chelsea likely to make a move for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, who might be sold in the summer. The Blues have also been linked to Brighton forward Evan Ferguson.
Pochettino’s men have only scored 44 goals in 26 Premier League games this season, which is nowhere close to what fans would want.
