'There's no togetherness': Ian Wright criticizes one Chelsea player's selfishness in Carabao Cup final

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright believes that Enzo Fernandez showed signs of selfishness in the Carabao Cup final loss to Liverpool.

He told on The Kelly & Wrighty podcast: “You do look at it and you feel, we spoke about Liverpool and their togetherness, Chelsea you feel the disconnect with the fans,

“What’s going on upstairs, with the players, now the manager is under pressure, you just feel like there’s no togetherness. You rightly mentioned the backheel from Enzo in the box, in a final, you lay it to someone and they score a tap-in, it’s what a team does, when you’re playing for a team.

“For him to not do that just shows where they are at the moment, they’re all over the place.”

The incident being mentioned here by Wright happened early in the second half when Fernandez received the ball in the box but had Andy Robertson behind him. Rather than square it to Cole Palmer, who was open in the box, he tried a backheel finish that clearly didn’t work out.

Enzo tried his best but ultimately came up short in the Carabao Cup final, and the day got worse when he was involved in an embarrassing interaction with a Liverpool fan after the game too.
