Chelsea ready to compete with multiple teams for Eredivisie goalkeeper with four clean sheets (reliability: 3 stars)

Chelsea seems to be starting to work on identifying potential targets for the summer transfer window after not spending at all in January.

As per Bild journalist Christian Falk, the Blues are among multiple Premier League clubs interested in signing Ajax goalkeeper Diant Ramaj in the summer.

However, Arsenal and Man United have also shown an interest in the German star – who has been a regular for the Eredivisie team.

Ramaj has made 26 appearances for a leaky Ajax side, being able to keep only four clean sheets in 26 games and conceding 42 goals.

However, the 22-year-old has impressed with his shot-stopping ability and bright performances that have attracted Chelsea’s attentions. He has maintained a 68.9% save percentage and is also slick with his distribution, averaging over 50 touches per game.

The Blues already have a pretty stacked goalkeeping department, with Djordje Petrovic doing a pretty solid job in the absence of Robert Sanchez.

The Croatian goalkeeper has kept four clean sheets in 17 appearances this season, proving to be a solid alternative to Sanchez.

Apart from these two, Chelsea will also have Kepa Arrizabalaga back in the squad after his return from the Real Madrid loan in the summer.
