Chelsea's asking price for Kepa revealed — are Madrid ready to pay it?

According to the Athletic, Chelsea would demand around €20m to sell Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer, who is currently on loan at Real Madrid.

A permanent move to the Bernabeu is therefore extremely unlikely as Los Blancos deem the price too high.

The report also states that the Spaniard was given guarantees that he would be Madrid's no. 1 in the absence of injured Thibaut Courtois, which led to him rejecting a loan move to Bayern.

Kepa has made 17 appearances for Madrid so far this season across all competitions, conceding 16 goals and keeping seven clean sheets. He competes with Andriy Lunin for the starting spot, with the Ukrainian goalie recently starting — and impressing — in the Spanish Super Cup final, in which Los Blancos defeated Barcelona 4-1.

The 29-year-old's contract with the Blues expires in 2025. He joined Chelsea back in 2018 on a €80m fee.
