Timo Werner joins Spurs on loan with option to buy

Tottenham have sealed the signing of Timo Werner on a six-month loan deal from Leipzig, it has been confirmed.

Spurs have an option to make the transfer permanent in the summer for a reported fee of £14.5m.

Chelsea signed Werner from Leipzig for £45m in 2020. The German scored just 23 goals in 89 appearances before returning to the Bundesliga side in 2022 on a £25m fee.

The 27-year-old scored two goals in 14 appearances for Leipzig this season. He's expected to make the squad for Spurs' game against Man United on Sunday.
