Poch tells Broja to 'start to behave normally' to play more at Chelsea

"It is a possibility for Armando to play," Mauricio Pochettino said of Broja's chances of starting against Preston on Saturday.

"Armando is going to have the possibility to be maybe more involved because he is one of our main strikers and it is a good opportunity for him to perform and be relaxed.

"We really trust in him, he has amazing potential and quality. Now he needs to forget his injury for the last year and start to behave normally."

Broja missed nine months of action after picking up an ACL injury in a friendly game in December 2022. He's returned to contention this season.

The Albanian has scored only one goal in 12 league appearances so far this term. It's certainly not the form expected of him but he has time to prove himself at the Bridge... at least until Chelsea buy a new striker.

Meanwhile, Nico Jackson will be unavailable in the next few weeks due to his participation in the African Cup of Nations.
