FIFA confirms dates for new Club World Cup — Chelsea already qualified

Chelsea have learned some details about the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup where they will participate regardless of their performances in the next 18 months.

The Blues have qualified for the new competition by winning the Champions League in 2021. Real Madrid and Man City, the teams that won the competition in the following years, will also be there.

The competition will take place from June 15 to July 13, 2025, weeks after the end of the 2024/25 season.

The format will resemble that of a regular World Cup between 1998 and 2022: 32 teams will be divided by eight groups with four teams in each. The group winners and runners-up qualify for the Round of 16 starting a single-match knockout phase.
