Everton have promised to watch carefully over how other clubs will be dealt with for their financial breaches after being given a 10-point deduction.
Chelsea are one of the clubs in the firing line, with questions dating back to the Roman Abramovich era. They've kept spending under the new owners but have little to show for it. If it weren't for the deduction, Everton would've been ahead of them before the clash on Sunday.
Speaking to the press, Sean Dyche spoke about the 'current realities' as if suggesting that something could change.
“It is what it is. The realities are there, well the current realities, but Chelsea are a really strong outfit," Dyche said.
"They’re a bit up and down with a new manager finding his group and all that sort of stuff. I was at Old Trafford – they’ve still got quality, they’ve still got pace, they’ve still got a depth of experience in football, so we’ve got to be ready."
