AS Roma are pushing to sign Romelu Lukaku permanently when his one-year loan from Chelsea expires in 2024, Sky Sports understands.
It is said that Roma's sporting director Tiago Pinto is already in talks with the Blues negotiating a £30m of the Belgian in June 2024.
Lukaku has impressed since moving to the Italian capital where he has bagged nine goals in 12 games, including a late winner last Sunday against Lecce.
Chelsea have no intention of reintegrating Lukaku into their squad next year but the Blues also insist on recouping a chunk of the £97m they spent to sign the striker from Inter Milan in 2021.
Lukaku seems to have warmed his way into the hearts of fans at Roma, with Jose Mourinho praising him every week.
