In an official statement, Chelsea confirmed that Emma Hayes OBE will leave her role as the Chelsea Women manager at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The 47-year-old has managed Chelsea Women since 2012 and turned them into a giant of the game, leading them to six Women's Super League trophies and five Women's FA Cups.
“Emma’s contribution to Chelsea cannot be understated. She has been a pioneer in women’s football and is hugely respected within the game. We look forward to continuing to work together over the coming months,” Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali said in a statment on the official Chelsea website.
Hayes is expected to pursue a new opportunity outside the Women's Super League and club football, the statement adds.
