A journalist got kicked off a TV show for racially abusing Romelu Lukaku

According to Football Italia, a journalist got kicked off a TV show for racially abusing Romelu Lukaku, right on live TV. Lukaku's had not one, but two stints at Inter, and now he's itching to make his comeback in Serie A.

First, it was all about Juventus, but now he's working on sealing the deal with Roma, and they're in talks about him joining them on loan.

On the show called Qui Studio a Voi Stadio on Telelombardia, a journalist and hardcore Inter fan named Luigi Furini was chatting about all this. He'd been on the show since 2010. But this time, he went too far. He dropped a racist comment about Lukaku on live TV.

Director of Telelombardia Fabio Ravezzani released a statement on Twitter: "When there are racist terms, you cannot mess around (regardless of their etymology). We do not accept this being a misunderstanding. And apologising far too late is not enough.

"It’s disappointing that a colleague like Furini should make such a serious error. Inevitably, there will be immediate action taken." For now it is uncertain, if Furini has been fired or will simply be suspended.
